40th Logo
I was tasked with creating Vinfen's 40th anniversary logo. The logo would be for both internal and external communications. My manager did not want it to be simply the regular logo with a "celebrating 40 years" on the side, but something new.

I got to work by playing around with the number 40 in different typefaces and researching other company's anniversary logos.
Breaking down the two letters into abstract shapes, I noticed 0 was a circle and I felt the 4 could be on top of it. I came up with an abstract 4 on top of a circle. My boss wanted it to be a little more obvious for our audience so we added another line into the 4. To tie it with the regular logo, I used the Adobe Garamond, the regular logo's typeface and kept the tagline of "transforming lives together."

The logo was well-received. Our company sometimes has trouble getting staff to adopt new marketing materials, but this logo was quickly embraced. Many staff put it on as their desktop background. I felt very proud with the results and it inspired me to create fun content.
